Five Lessons Learned from Editing for Film, TV & Comedy

Joanna Naugle shares some of the most important lessons she has learned throughout her career as an editor, using examples from previous TV and film projects.

About the Filmmaker

Joanna Naugle is a film, television and commercial editor who is also the co-owner of Senior Post, an award-winning Brooklyn-based post house that provides full post production services. Her recent work includes the Emmy nominated show RAMY (Hulu), John Kransinski’s SOME GOOD NEWS (YouTube), 2 DOPE QUEENS (HBO), and RAMY YOUSSEF: FEELINGS (HBO). She also provided additional editing for JOHN MULANEY & THE SACK LUNCH BUNCH (Netflix) and BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (Sundance, 2019). Her work has screened at Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca and SXSW and she’s worked with clients including A24, Apatow Productions, Vice, Vevo, Nike, Reebok, Vox and Refinery 29. Joanna’s greatest professional goal is to work with Roderick Jaynes.
